‘CJP Leadership With Me’: Mohammad Junaid Dismisses Rift Rumours; ‘Cockroach’ Party Reaffirms Support and ‘Respect’

New Delhi: Mohammad Junaid has sought to put an end to speculation over an alleged rift within the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), saying the organisation's leadership continues to back him despite rumours circulating on social media.

In a public statement, Junaid said there was no internal conflict and stressed that the party leadership remained united. "The CJP leadership is with me," he said, dismissing reports that suggested differences between him and senior members of the youth-led political movement.

The clarification came after a series of social media posts and unverified reports claimed that disagreements had emerged within the party over recent organisational decisions and the direction of its nationwide campaign. The rumours quickly gained traction online, prompting speculation about divisions among the party's leadership.

Responding to the reports, the CJP issued a statement reaffirming its support for Junaid and emphasised that he continued to enjoy the organisation's confidence. The party also reiterated its "respect" for him, describing claims of an internal split as misleading.

According to the party, its focus remains on pursuing its campaign for education reforms, examination transparency and institutional accountability. CJP leaders said they would not allow speculation over internal matters to distract from what they described as the movement's broader objectives.

The organisation has been at the forefront of nationwide student protests in recent months, demanding action over alleged examination irregularities and calling for systemic reforms.
