New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to release the 23rd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme today, bringing financial relief to millions of farmers across the country.
Under the latest installment, more than 9.44 crore eligible farmer beneficiaries will receive ₹2,000 each directly into their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism. The government will transfer a total of ₹18,880 crore as part of the disbursement.
The PM-KISAN scheme provides eligible landholding farmer families with annual financial assistance of ₹6,000, paid in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months. Since its launch in 2019, the scheme has emerged as one of the Centre's largest direct benefit programmes aimed at supporting farmers' income and agricultural expenses.
According to official guidelines, beneficiaries must have completed mandatory eKYC, linked their Aadhaar with their bank account and ensured that land records are correctly updated to receive the installment. Farmers with pending verification issues may face delays in receiving the payment.
How to Check PM-KISAN 23rd Installment Status
Farmers can verify whether the installment has been credited by checking their beneficiary status online:
Visit the official PM-KISAN portal.
PM-KISAN PortalClick on 'Know Your Status' or 'Beneficiary Status' under the Farmers Corner section.
Enter your Registration Number, Aadhaar Number or registered mobile number.
Complete the verification process and submit the details.
The portal will display the beneficiary status, payment history and installment details.
Farmers who have not completed eKYC are advised to do so immediately through the PM-KISAN portal or their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC), as eKYC remains mandatory for receiving benefits under the scheme.
The 23rd installment covers the April–July cycle of the PM-KISAN scheme and is expected to benefit millions of farming households across India at a time when agricultural input costs remain a key concern.
