BJP-Led Bihar Government Weaponising Police to Evade Accountability to Students: Rahul Gandhi

Patna: Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has accused the BJP-led Bihar government of "weaponising" the police to avoid accountability over concerns raised by students regarding alleged irregularities in recruitment.

Gandhi's remarks came amid protests by students in Bihar, with demonstrators raising concerns over recruitment-related issues and demanding answers from the state government.

The Congress leader alleged that instead of addressing the grievances of protesting students, the government was relying on police action to contain the demonstrations. He criticised the use of force against students and said authorities should engage with protesters and address their concerns.
