Ranchi: Avni Kejriwal, a Class 12 Commerce student from Ranchi, has become a national talking point after securing a perfect score of 500 out of 500 in the CBSE board examinations following a re-evaluation of her answer sheets.

The student from Delhi Public School Ranchi initially scored 476 marks (95.2 per cent) when the CBSE Class 12 results were declared. However, convinced that her performance deserved higher marks, she applied for verification and re-evaluation of her answer scripts. The decision proved crucial, as the review process added 24 marks to her tally, taking her score to a flawless 500 out of 500.

Who is Avni Kejriwal?

Avni Kejriwal is a Commerce stream student from Ranchi, Jharkhand, who studied at DPS Ranchi. She scored full marks in English Core, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics and Applied Mathematics after the CBSE re-evaluation process. Reports indicate that she also scored 99 marks in Graphics, her additional subject.

According to reports, Avni belongs to a business family. Her father, Mitesh Kejriwal, runs an edible oil business, while her mother, Poonam Kejriwal, is a homemaker. She has expressed interest in pursuing Business Management and has reportedly appeared for CUET-UG 2026 with plans to study BBA before joining and expanding her family business.

Avni's case has attracted attention because of the dramatic increase in marks after re-evaluation. Reports suggest that her initial result included deductions in subjects such as English Core and Business Studies.
