The ruling party plans to expand its outreach beyond political rallies by engaging civil society groups, students and young voters in discussions about electoral reforms. Senior BJP leaders are also preparing public marches in Haryana to counter the opposition's mobilisation efforts. BJP Intensifies Campaign Against INDIA Bloc

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing to intensify its political campaign against the opposition INDIA bloc as tensions grow over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The ruling party plans to combine nationwide public outreach with demonstrations and marches led by senior leaders. The strategy aims to challenge the opposition's allegations concerning electoral reforms and voter-list revision while presenting the BJP's position directly to citizens.

According to reports, the party is seeking to take the debate beyond conventional political rallies by involving civil society organisations, students and young people in discussions about democracy and electoral processes.

Senior BJP Leaders to Lead Public Marches

As part of its counteroffensive, BJP president Nitin Nabin is scheduled to lead a padyatra (foot march) in Rohtak, Haryana. Former Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan is also expected to participate in a similar march in Faridabad.

The choice of Haryana is politically significant because the state borders Delhi and has been an important location for the opposition's recent mobilisation efforts over the SIR issue.

The BJP's planned marches are intended to demonstrate the ruling party's organisational strength and counter the INDIA bloc's efforts to build public support for its campaign. The parallel programmes also underline the growing importance of public demonstrations in the political dispute.

'Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao' Campaign

The BJP has launched a broader campaign titled Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao, which translates to "Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy."

The campaign began on October 22 and is scheduled to run in two phases. The first phase will conclude on November 5, while the second phase is planned for November 11–30.

Party leaders have been reviewing the political situation and discussing strategies to respond to the opposition's sustained criticism of the SIR exercise.

The campaign seeks to frame the political debate around democratic processes, electoral reforms and the conduct of opposition protests. The BJP maintains that electoral change must take place through democratic and constitutional mechanisms.

BJP Responds to Opposition's SIR Allegations

The INDIA bloc has been raising concerns about the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls and demanding accountability from the Election Commission of India.

The opposition's campaign has included public demonstrations and demands for action concerning Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Opposition leaders have argued that the electoral process and the credibility of democratic institutions require greater scrutiny.

The BJP, however, has accused the opposition of using the issue for political mobilisation. Union minister Kiren Rijiju said that governments are decided through ballots rather than demonstrations, defending the democratic process as the appropriate route to political change.

The competing positions have intensified the political confrontation between the ruling party and the opposition alliance.

Mock Parliament Planned as Part of Counteroffensive

In another development, a group identified by BJP sources as Citizens for Democracy is planning to organise a mock parliament in Delhi.

The event is viewed as a counter to the Congress's political exercise concerning the Election Commission. It forms part of the ruling party's wider effort to engage with the electoral debate through platforms beyond conventional party rallies.

The initiative reflects the BJP's intention to challenge the opposition's messaging and strengthen its own narrative around electoral reforms and democratic accountability.

Political Tensions Likely to Continue

The BJP's expanded campaign signals that the dispute over electoral-roll revision is likely to remain a major political issue.

While the INDIA bloc continues to press its concerns about the Election Commission and the SIR exercise, the BJP is working to counter those allegations through public outreach, political marches and organised discussions.

The effectiveness of the competing campaigns will depend on their ability to attract public support and persuade voters. For now, the confrontation highlights the widening political divide between the ruling BJP and the opposition INDIA bloc over electoral reforms and democratic institutions.
