Mini Mathur Says She ‘Didn’t Like’ Salman Khan’s Comment About Husband Kabir Khan Being ‘Scared’ of Her

Mumbai: Television host and actor Mini Mathur has addressed a remark made by Salman Khan during his appearance on Prime Video’s reality show Alliance. Mini said she “didn’t like that comment” after Salman joked that her husband, filmmaker Kabir Khan, was “scared” of her.

Speaking to podcaster Nayandeep Rakshit, Mini made it clear that her response was specifically about the comment and not about her overall equation with Salman. She said she “of course” adores the actor and appreciated his appearance on the show.

Mini Mathur on Salman Khan’s remark

Reflecting on Salman’s visit to the Alliance house, Mini said she was happy that he got to see a different side of her personality.

“I, of course, adore him and it was wonderful to hear him say that. You know, of course, I didn't like that comment,” she said during the interview.

Mini explained that she has often been identified primarily as Kabir Khan’s wife, describing herself as being known as “Kabir’s better half”. She said her participation in Alliance allowed Salman to see her independently of that association.

“I was always like Kabir's better half, and so I'm glad that he got to see a side of me that he hadn't before,” she said.

She enjoyed Salman’s appearance on Alliance

Despite her reaction to the remark, Mini spoke warmly about Salman’s appearance on the show. She recalled how surprised the other contestants were when the actor entered the house.

According to Mini, the atmosphere changed immediately, with contestants reacting with disbelief at having Salman sitting with them and drinking coffee. She described the experience as particularly enjoyable to watch.

Mini also felt that Salman’s appearance came at an important point in the competition, just a few days before the finale. She said the contestants needed the energy he brought to the house and appreciated the personal experiences and jokes he shared with them.

Mini Mathur wins Alliance

Mini Mathur ultimately emerged as the winner of Alliance and took home the trophy along with a ₹50 lakh cash prize. The reality show, hosted by Kunal Kemmu, brought together contestants from different backgrounds, including actors, television personalities and content creators.

Salman appeared on the show to support his brother Sohail Khan, who was among the contestants. His appearance took place shortly before the finale.

Salman Khan and Kabir Khan’s professional association

Salman Khan and Kabir Khan have worked together on several successful films, including Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015). Their professional association has been discussed by Kabir in previous interviews, with the filmmaker saying he would be open to collaborating with Salman again if they found the right script.

For now, Mini’s comments offer her perspective on a remark made during Salman’s Alliance appearance, while also highlighting how her stint on the show helped audiences see her beyond her identity as Kabir Khan’s wife.
