Andhra Governor, CM Extend Ganesh Chaturthi Greetings; Jagan Mohan Reddy Also Wishes People

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday extended their greetings to people of the state on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chavithi.

The leaders conveyed their wishes through messages on social media, highlighting the festival's themes of devotion, harmony, prosperity and the removal of obstacles.

Governor Nazeer wishes peace and prosperity

Governor S Abdul Nazeer described Ganesh Chaturthi as an important festival celebrated with fervour, devotion and gaiety, with families coming together to mark the occasion.

In his message, the Governor extended warm greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and expressed the hope that Lord Vigneswara would bless everyone with peace, prosperity and harmony.

Chandrababu Naidu stresses culture and environment

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also extended heartfelt greetings to people across Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu said Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with devotion in households across the state and brings people from different sections of society together. He described it as a major social festival celebrated in villages, towns, colonies and cities.

The Chief Minister also urged people to uphold India's cultural traditions while protecting the environment. He encouraged the worship of clay idols of Lord Ganesha as part of environmentally responsible celebrations.

Naidu further prayed that the blessings of Lord Vigneshwara would bring happiness and prosperity to every family and help the government's efforts for the welfare and development of the state move forward without obstacles.

Jagan Mohan Reddy extends greetings

YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also conveyed his greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh.

In his message, Jagan invoked Lord Vigneshwara and Siddhivinayaka, expressing the hope that their blessings and grace would remain with everyone and bring success and prosperity.

Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations across Andhra Pradesh

Ganesh Chaturthi is marked across Andhra Pradesh with the installation of Lord Ganesha idols at homes and public pandals. Devotees offer prayers, conduct special rituals and organise devotional and cultural programmes.

The celebrations generally continue for several days and culminate with the immersion of Ganesha idols on Anant Chaturdashi. Processions carrying idols are held in many places before immersion in water bodies.

The messages from the Governor and political leaders come as devotees across Andhra Pradesh celebrate the festival with prayers for prosperity, peace and the removal of obstacles.
