Barcelona sound out Harry Kane transfer, but Bayern Munich star not ready to leave for Camp Nou: Report
Barcelona have reportedly made preliminary enquiries about the possibility of signing Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, but the England captain has shown no interest in leaving the German giants at this stage.
According to multiple reports in European media, the Catalan club is assessing long-term options to strengthen its attack and views Kane as one of the world's most complete forwards. However, the 33-year-old is understood to be focused on his project with Bayern Munich and is not considering a move to Camp Nou in the immediate future.
Kane joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023 and has enjoyed a prolific spell in Germany, consistently finishing among the Bundesliga's top scorers while helping the club compete for domestic and European honours.
Barcelona, meanwhile, are continuing to rebuild under head coach Hansi Flick. Although the club already boasts attacking talent, reports suggest the Blaugrana are evaluating experienced centre-forwards capable of leading the line over the coming seasons.
Despite the reported interest, any move for Kane would be financially challenging. Bayern Munich are under no pressure to sell their star striker, whose contract runs until 2027. The German champions also regard him as a key figure in their long-term plans.
For Kane, remaining at Bayern also offers the opportunity to compete regularly for major trophies while maintaining his impressive scoring record. The England captain has repeatedly expressed satisfaction with life in Munich and remains focused on club and international commitments.
Transfer experts believe Barcelona's enquiry does not necessarily indicate formal negotiations but rather reflects the club's efforts to monitor elite players who could become available in future transfer windows.
With the summer transfer market still active, speculation surrounding high-profile players is expected to continue. However, as things stand, Kane appears committed to Bayern Munich, leaving Barcelona to explore alternative options as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
