Gaurav Khanna Breaks Down in Tears as He Quits Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, Saves Ruhaanika Dhawan: Here’s Why

Gaurav Khanna has left Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 on an emotional note. The actor, who had returned to the stunt-based reality show as a wild-card contestant, decided to voluntarily quit even after winning the elimination stunt.

His decision came after he realised that his elbow injury was affecting his ability to perform at his best. Gaurav broke down in tears while explaining his decision to host Rohit Shetty and the other contestants.

Gaurav wins the stunt but chooses to leave

The elimination stunt required contestants to climb onto a suspended platform and collect flags attached to it. Gaurav successfully retrieved two flags, while Rubina Dilaik managed to collect one.

Ruhaanika Dhawan, meanwhile, slipped and fell from the platform, resulting in her stunt being stopped. She was consequently facing elimination.

Although Gaurav won the task, he surprised everyone by deciding to leave the competition himself.

‘It’s taking a toll on my health’

Explaining his decision to Rohit Shetty, Gaurav said that despite winning the task, he wanted to exit because the demanding stunts were taking a toll on his health.

He also made it clear that he did not want to continue if he could not give his 100%. Gaurav said the standard of stunts on the show was extremely high and that he did not want to occupy another contestant's place if he was not physically fit enough to continue.

His decision meant that Ruhaanika was saved from elimination.

The emotional moment came after Gaurav announced his decision.

The actor broke down in tears while apologising to his fellow contestants and Rohit Shetty. He then hugged Rohit and touched his feet before leaving the competition.

Ruhaanika also approached Gaurav and tried to persuade him to reconsider his decision, but he remained firm. According to the report, Gaurav felt that his elbow injury would prevent him from performing at his full capacity in upcoming challenges.

From elimination to wild-card comeback

Gaurav's exit comes shortly after an unusual turn in his Khatron Ke Khiladi journey.

He had initially been eliminated from the competition but later returned as a wild-card contestant. His comeback gave him another opportunity to compete alongside contestants including Rubina Dilaik, Rithvik Dhanjani, Vishal Aditya Singh, Karan Wahi, Jasmin Bhasin, Avinash Mishra, Farrhana Bhatt and Ruhaanika Dhawan.

Fans praise Gaurav's decision

Gaurav's emotional departure prompted an outpouring of support from viewers. Several fans praised him for putting his health ahead of the competition and for choosing not to continue when he felt he could not perform at his best.

His decision also ensured that Ruhaanika received another chance to remain in the competition.

Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, hosted by Rohit Shetty, has featured the theme “Old vs New: Darr Ka Naya Daur”, bringing together returning contestants and newer faces.
