Indian Railways has approved projects worth Rs 675 crore across West Bengal, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh as part of efforts to strengthen railway infrastructure and improve connectivity.
The projects are aimed at improving railway infrastructure across the three states and supporting smoother and more efficient transportation.
The investment is expected to enhance connectivity in key areas while strengthening the existing railway network. The projects will also contribute to improving passenger and freight movement across the region.
West Bengal, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh form an important part of the country's railway network, connecting major cities, industrial centres and economic corridors. Infrastructure upgrades in these states are therefore expected to have wider benefits for regional connectivity.
The approval of the projects comes as Indian Railways continues to focus on modernising infrastructure, improving capacity and expanding connectivity across the country.
Further details regarding the individual projects, their locations and implementation timelines are expected as the works progress.
