The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a comprehensive chargesheet in the Pahalgam terror attack case, naming Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder Hafiz Saeed among the key accused and outlining what it describes as a Pakistan-backed conspiracy behind the deadly assault.

The chargesheet, submitted before a special NIA court, alleges that senior Pakistan-based LeT operatives planned, financed and directed the attack with the assistance of local terror associates and overground workers operating in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the NIA, Hafiz Saeed, the founder of the Pakistan-based terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, played a central role in the broader conspiracy behind the attack.

The agency has invoked multiple provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and other relevant laws against the accused.
