Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday assured members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) that those responsible for the alleged NEET paper leak would face stringent action, reaffirming the Centre's resolve to safeguard the credibility of India's competitive examination system.

Addressing the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, the Prime Minister said the government would ensure that everyone involved in the examination irregularities is brought to justice.

'Those responsible will be punished'

According to leaders present at the meeting, Modi stressed that the government has adopted a zero-tolerance approach towards corruption and malpractice in public examinations.

He reportedly told NDA MPs that the Centre was committed to conducting transparent and fair examinations and that individuals found guilty of leaking question papers or facilitating examination fraud would face strict legal consequences.

The Prime Minister also urged lawmakers to communicate the government's commitment to students and their families.
