Shah Rukh Khan Roasts Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor Teases King Star in New Ad; Fans Say, ‘Cast Them in a Film’

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have once again shared the screen, this time for a humorous advertisement that has quickly caught the attention of Bollywood fans.

The trio features in a new Rungta Steel television commercial in which they poke fun at their own films, characters and iconic dialogues. The ad eventually has all three stars doing exactly what they initially wanted to avoid — dancing for the commercial.

Shah Rukh Khan brings back his ‘Don’ style

The commercial begins with Bijendra Kala pitching an advertising idea that involves Shah Rukh, Alia and Ranbir dancing to Akshay Kumar's “Hookah Bar” from Khiladi 786.

The three stars are visibly unimpressed and decide to pitch their own ideas instead.

Shah Rukh goes first, borrowing from his famous Don persona. He suggests a storyline in which the police from 12 countries are unable to break into a house because it is built using Rungta TMT bars.

Ranbir then turns the joke back on Shah Rukh by adapting one of the famous Don lines, saying that enduring the proposed advertisement would be “mushkil hi nahi, namumkin”.

Ranbir Kapoor gets an ‘Nadaan Parinde’ roast

Ranbir's own pitch draws inspiration from his 2011 film Rockstar.

He imagines a rockstar delivering the performance of his life and “shaking the world”, while the stage itself remains stable because it is made from Rungta TMT bars.

That gives Alia the opportunity to tease her husband with one of the most recognisable lines associated with Rockstar.

“O nadan parinde, beth ja,” she tells Ranbir.

The moment has become one of the most discussed parts of the advertisement, with viewers reacting to the couple's playful exchange.

SRK takes a dig at Alia’s Jigra

Alia then proposes her own concept, this time referencing her 2024 film Jigra.

She describes a story about a girl whose brother is in jail but cannot be rescued because the jail is made from strong TMT bars.

Shah Rukh immediately turns the idea into another joke, saying that “Ise dekhne ka jigra kisi mein nahi hai” — a play on the title of Alia's film.

The exchange gives the advertisement its central Bollywood self-parody, with each actor using elements associated with their own screen image.

The trio eventually dances anyway

After rejecting the original idea of making them dance, the three stars continue pitching increasingly elaborate film-inspired concepts.

Eventually, they are asked which idea should be made, only for the commercial to cut to Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor dancing together.

The campaign, titled “Ekdum Solid Strength”, was created to combine Bollywood humour with Rungta TMT's product messaging.

Fans want Shah Rukh, Alia and Ranbir in a film

The unexpected combination has also revived a long-standing fan wish to see Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor together in a feature film.

Social-media reactions to the commercial focused on the trio's chemistry, with some viewers suggesting that the three should be cast together in a movie.

Those comments are fan reactions rather than an announcement of a film project. There is currently no confirmed feature film starring all three together.

Shah Rukh’s King is up next

Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for the release of his upcoming action film King, directed by Siddharth Anand.

The actor recently confirmed December 24, 2026 as the film's theatrical release date and unveiled the first dialogue from the movie.

The film's reported ensemble includes Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and others.

Alia and Ranbir’s upcoming projects

Alia Bhatt is also part of several major upcoming Bollywood projects, while Ranbir Kapoor is set to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War alongside Alia and Vicky Kaushal.

Recent reports said the cast returned for additional filming of some war sequences in September.

Ranbir is also among the leads of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana Part 1, alongside Sai Pallavi and Yash.

For now, however, the Shah Rukh-Alia-Ranbir combination exists on screen through the new advertisement — and the trio's playful exchanges have given fans another reason to imagine what a full-length film featuring them might look like.
