Hosted once again by filmmaker Karan Johar, the new season will premiere on Prime Video on August 13, 2026, with fresh episodes releasing every Thursday.

The announcement video introduces Munawar Faruqui and Mallika Sherawat as the first confirmed contestants. Munawar, who has established himself as one of India's most successful reality TV personalities through shows like Lock Upp and Bigg Boss 17, is expected to bring his strategic gameplay to the competition. Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, The Traitors India is the official Indian adaptation of the internationally acclaimed reality format De Verraders, which has been adapted in more than 40 countries.
