22-Year-Old Woman Attacked With Acid in Balod

A 22-year-old woman suffered severe injuries after an acid attack in Chhattisgarh’s Balod district on Monday afternoon.

According to the report, the woman was allegedly attacked after she rejected the attacker’s requests to marry him.

The incident occurred while she was returning home after studying at a library. She was preparing for competitive examinations when she was allegedly intercepted by the accused.

The attack has caused serious injuries to her face and hand, with her right eye particularly badly affected.

Attack Allegedly Followed Rejection of Marriage Request

The incident reportedly took place after the woman spurned the attacker’s requests to marry him.

The accused have been identified as Yash Kumar Sonkar and his friend Karan Kunjam.

According to the report, the two allegedly waylaid the woman while she was returning home from the library and threw acid on her face before fleeing the spot.

The attack resulted in severe burn injuries, particularly around her face and right eye.

Serious Injuries to Face and Eye

The woman suffered deep wounds on her right cheek and right eye as a result of the attack.

Her hand was also injured, and doctors said that she had sustained burns over around 8 per cent of her body.

The most serious concern is the condition of her right eye.

A doctor treating the woman said that her right eye had been badly affected and that she currently does not have vision in that eye.

The doctor also said that while the woman is expected to recover from her other injuries, restoring vision in the affected eye could take time.

Doctor Describes Condition

A doctor, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the woman had suffered injuries to her face and both eyes.

However, the right eye was described as being particularly badly affected.

The doctor said the woman had sustained a total of 8 per cent burn injuries on her body.

While the doctor indicated that the woman would recover, the vision in her right eye remained a major concern.

At present, she does not have vision in the right eye, according to the doctor.

Victim Was Preparing for Competitive Exams

At the time of the attack, the woman was preparing for competitive examinations.

She had been returning home from a library when she was allegedly stopped by the accused.

The attack has therefore disrupted the life of a young woman who was pursuing her studies and preparing for competitive exams.

Her injuries, particularly the damage to her right eye, could have long-term consequences for her recovery.

Incident Sparks Outrage in Balod

The incident has reportedly sparked outrage in the region.

According to the report, it is purportedly the first acid attack in Balod.

The severity of the injuries and the circumstances surrounding the attack have drawn attention to the incident.

The woman is currently recovering from the burns, while her right-eye injury remains a serious medical concern.

Right Eye Faces Serious Damage

The condition of the victim’s right eye is the most concerning aspect of her injuries.

The acid caused deep wounds around the right cheek and right eye. The treating doctor said there is currently no vision in the affected eye.

Although the doctor said the woman would recover from her injuries, the restoration of vision in the right eye could take time.

The extent to which her eyesight can eventually be restored remains uncertain based on the information provided in the report.

Alleged Attackers

The two people named in connection with the attack are Yash Kumar Sonkar and his friend Karan Kunjam.

According to the report, they allegedly intercepted the woman while she was returning from the library and threw acid on her face before fleeing.

The attack allegedly followed the woman's rejection of marriage requests.

The incident has raised concern in Balod, particularly because of the severity of the injuries suffered by the young woman.

The 22-year-old victim is undergoing recovery after suffering burns to her face, hand and eyes. Her right eye has been particularly badly affected, and doctors have said she currently has no vision in it.
