Hanuman Ansh Director Vishal Chaturvedi Greets PM Modi, Sings at Bhajan Clubbing Event

New Delhi: Hanuman Ansh director Vishal Chaturvedi met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a bhajan clubbing programme held in Delhi on Friday, September 25. The event was organised to mark the 110th birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.

The evening combined devotional music with a contemporary concert-style format. PM Modi attended the programme and was seen listening to and participating in the musical performances.

During the programme, Chaturvedi greeted Prime Minister Modi and introduced himself as the writer and director of Hanuman Ansh. He subsequently performed the Hanuman Chalisa, drawing a response from the audience. Modi was seen cheering during the performance.

The filmmaker later shared videos from the event on his Instagram Stories, offering glimpses of his interaction with the Prime Minister.

‘Parvati’ bhajan becomes a highlight

Another major moment came when singer Sadhu S. Tiwari performed Parvati, the devotional song from Hanuman Ansh. The track, which depicts the story of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, has gained attention following the film's theatrical release.

During the performance, PM Modi was seen enjoying the song, singing along and keeping rhythm with a khanjari. Videos and photographs from the event subsequently circulated on social media.

Tiwari is credited as the singer, composer and lyricist of the song. His performance at the Delhi event brought one of the film's best-known musical tracks into the spotlight once again.

What is ‘Hanuman Ansh’ about?

Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, Hanuman Ansh is a devotional biographical drama based on the life and spiritual journey of Neem Karoli Baba.

The film follows Lakshminarayan, a young man who begins a spiritual search after losing his mother and eventually becomes the revered spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba.

The film has also attracted considerable attention at the box office. The Hanuman Ansh team recently met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who congratulated Chaturvedi and the cast and crew following the film's reported ₹300-crore-plus global run.
