Mumbai: Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Kangana Ranaut's reported "Generation Gutter" remark aimed at Generation Z, saying such a statement would be "very shameful" if it was actually made.

Speaking to reporters, Sood was asked about Kangana's alleged comments that have sparked debate across social media. Responding cautiously, the actor said he had not personally verified the statement but made it clear that he does not support labelling an entire generation.

"It is very shameful if she said that," Sonu Sood said, adding that young people should be guided and supported rather than criticised.
