Kashmera Shah comes out in support of mami Sunita Ahuja in Lock Upp: ‘Make life hell for whoever is torturing you’

Actor Kashmera Shah has extended her support to her "mami" Sunita Ahuja after the latter's emotional breakdown on Lock Upp Season 2. Sunita, the wife of actor Govinda, was seen in tears during the latest episode after expressing frustration over the quality of food provided to contestants and saying she wanted to leave the show.

Following the episode, Kashmera took to Instagram to share an emotional note alongside pictures from her recent reunion with Sunita, assuring her that she was not alone.

Kashmera's heartfelt message

In her post, Kashmera encouraged Sunita to remain strong and not allow anyone to break her spirit.

"Be strong Mami. You are not alone. We are all with you. Don't let anyone bring you down. Real or reel, be yourself and give whoever is giving you hell back. Show them what hell actually is."

She further added:

"Your devil's angel is here to protect you and I promise I will not let anyone put you down or make you cry. I know you can give them back but you are just keeping quiet as you want to go back home. I say stick in there and stick it out and make life hell for whoever is torturing you in the show. Love you now and forever."

What happened on Lock Upp?

Sunita became emotional after contestants complained about inadequate food supplies in the house. Refusing to eat, she criticised the situation and later broke down while speaking to co-host Riteish Deshmukh, saying she wanted to leave the show and return home to her children.

Riteish comforted Sunita and assured her that they would discuss her concerns, after which she returned to the house once the task concluded.

A relationship rebuilt after years

Kashmera's public support comes just weeks after she and Sunita ended a long-running family feud.

During her stint on Lock Upp, Sunita recalled how she reconciled with nephew Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera after nearly 14 years during an appearance on Laughter Chefs. She revealed that Kashmera apologised to her with tears in her eyes, and the emotional reunion helped heal years of estrangement within the family.

The rift reportedly began over a social media post that Sunita believed was aimed at Govinda. Earlier this year, however, the families reconciled publicly, with Krushna and Kashmera also visiting Govinda in hospital following his accidental injury, signalling that the long-standing differences had finally been resolved.

Sunita's candid revelations on the show

Since entering Lock Upp Season 2, Sunita has frequently made headlines for her candid comments about her personal life.

In recent episodes, she spoke openly about dealing with rumours surrounding Govinda's alleged infidelity, saying she had chosen to prioritise her children and peace of mind rather than dwell on the issue. She also admitted that constantly worrying about such matters would only worsen her health.

Kashmera's latest message reflects the family's renewed bond and comes at a time when Sunita continues to face emotional challenges inside the reality show's high-pressure environment.
