Ketan Agarwal murder: Siya allegedly screamed ‘Help, help’ after pushing fiancé into gorge, police reveal

Pune Police have uncovered fresh details in the investigation into the alleged murder of 25-year-old businessman Ketan Agarwal, claiming that prime accused Siya Goyal shouted "Help, help" moments after he was allegedly pushed into a gorge at Lohagad Fort in an attempt to portray the incident as an accident.

According to investigators, the alleged incident took place on June 18 during a visit to the popular trekking destination near Pune. Police allege that Ketan Agarwal was pushed into a deep gorge as part of a premeditated conspiracy involving his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary. Both have denied wrongdoing, and the matter remains under investigation. (hindustantimes.com)

Police reconstruct sequence of events

Investigators allege that immediately after Agarwal fell into the gorge, Siya began screaming for help to attract the attention of nearby trekkers. According to police, the alleged cries were intended to create the impression that Agarwal had accidentally slipped while trekking.

Witness statements and forensic evidence are being examined to verify the sequence of events. Police believe the actions immediately after the incident form a crucial part of the alleged attempt to conceal the crime. (timesofindia.indiatimes.com)

Alleged conspiracy under scrutiny

The case has drawn widespread attention after investigators claimed the accused had carefully planned the killing. Police have alleged that Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary were in frequent contact before the incident and had exchanged more than 2,000 phone calls over several months.

Investigators also claim Chaudhary attempted to avoid digital surveillance by remaining offline for nearly 640 minutes on the day of the incident and leaving his personal phone behind, a move that police say ultimately strengthened their case rather than helping him evade detection. Digital evidence, CCTV footage and witness testimonies continue to form the backbone of the investigation.

Both accused in custody

Police have arrested Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, with both currently facing investigation in connection with Agarwal's death. During interrogation, each has reportedly blamed the other for masterminding the alleged murder.

Authorities are continuing to analyse forensic evidence, mobile phone records and witness accounts to establish the exact sequence of events. The investigation remains ongoing, and the allegations made by police are yet to be tested in court.
